Eliana Harvey — the shaman who began it all

In 1986 Eliana and her husband opened the doors of Middle Piccadilly Rural Retreat in the quiet Dorset countryside near Sherborne. Trained in shamanic healing and the founder of the School of Women's Shamanism (Shamanka), Eliana carried her eagle feather for four decades — teaching, holding ceremony, and sitting with generations of guests looking for a way home to themselves.

Her son Dominic Harvey has stewarded the retreat alongside her for thirty years and now formally takes his place as the elder — carrying forward the same care, the same kitchen, and the same welcome she built.
